Dear Kainante and co.
First of all. Nice game you got here. It seems that it has lots of promise and potential. Great work with the 3D art and models. But there are lots of things that hold this back for being a really enjoyable game. So what I'm going to do here is organize the things into a list that bothered me and some of my ideas/suggestions so that my utter mess of a review wont be so incoherent and convoluted:
-The controls were a bit slippery and confusing due to the animations that affect it as well as the mouse and screen bug.
-Sounds are usually not in sync with the animations. Like for example when I click in rapid succession. I can hear the sword swing but not see my character swing it for some reason. Furthermore the walking. Its obvious you can see the problem here as the character tends to slide first before actually doing the animation.
-Animations are scanty. This is a major letdown considering the potentiality of the game. What I mean its insufficient and its slow. Not slow due to lag of my computer but slow reactions in corresponds to attacking and or walking. For example. When I am able to swing my sword at the enemies, they do indeed flinch like their being hurt but they don't stagger. Like as in to show that I hit them. Its unclear if I even hit them. Or if they even hit me.
-AI of the enemies, especially the companions/brainwashed minions you possessed are very dense.
possessed minions dont even attack and just become meat shields. I tried every button to make them attack but they don't. But I should expect that they attack automatically when I'm near an enemy.
-Talking about the mouse and the screen bug, What that means is that usually when I move my mouse to control the camera ingame. The mouse just obnoxiously goes outside of the screen and into the background, where not just I lost the entire screen focus, but it also had me unwarrantedly scrolling the browser. This is a real letdown considering most games have the mouse fixed and stay in its own game screen.
-Music is just ambience. Well no problem with ambience music since it gives the atmospheric vibe to the game...(despite its flaws) Its flaw though is that it loops. This can ruin that vibe and just be downright annoying. Same for SFX. Its pretty insufficient. It lacks alot of SFX that is really needed to make the game more...How you say..."attractive"?
-Suggestions would be to fix most of these problems and add a story into it. There was a vague or lack of explanation to how I got to where I am, and how I got to what I am. Like how did I get that sword? How did I become a demon? how did I get those tattoos? Anyways just a heads up. Also I'd suggest fighting some demons too if you hadn't put that in. It would make sense since you're also some kind of humanoid demon yourself.
Basically this review all goes down to that the game is visually appealing but lacks the "game" part in it. Its technically an unfinished, unpolished beta version of a game which I believe don't belong here. But if you're fishing for feedback here's what I can do for you. Sorry but this is not really interesting. Try to make it more...Well, Interesting. Cheers!
