Dear RongRong

Well this was...Well ummm...How can I say this...Not that funny?
Its maybe because of the oversaturation of TF2 with their redundant apparel. Which is in particular; hats. Also this seems old...Unlike your previous submissions this has less what was expected.
Still great job though.

Well...It's not bad, but it's not good either. S
ide note: The W box had a black outline before it enlarged, as well as the rest of the animation being a bit stale and placid (little movement/little activity)

But tell me, what is this intro all about, Is it youtube?

Waskus responds:

I don't really know, I just wanted to try make myself an intro style on my favourite TV show. And it took me like 20 min (nothing serious) and it wasn't purposed for anything, 'til i created a newgrounds acc and was desperate for uploading something. I should also mention this was my second week with animation and I was trying out some new techniques on Flash.

But thanks fot your honest opinion

So the joke here...Is literally what the title denotes? Because of that, I was able to expect this a mile away, and you met it. Not really that great sorry. It would be better if you added MORE to it than just...This.

TuxedoCatCartoons responds:

Dear etriuswimbleton...your review is longer than my animation.

dear jelloween

Hmmm...More of this skits I see. Judging from your second cartoon, the animation here seems more staggering but nonetheless it has discernable improvements from your last cartoons such as the painted background you had aforementioned. What lacks here though unlike my previous review is the comedy. It was a bit...Not there, Inconspicuous to be exact. And what I mean here is that its barely noticeable. However, despite that, I would suggest continuing with this concept. I like the idea of this blue shirt and pants character going through the days and struggles with the minor hindrances like the cupboard not closing here or him drawing something and ending up breaking and losing the pencil.

To be clear, the idea I would like to suggest is to make this character nonchalantly sigh at every mistake or inconvenience he struggles with during his regular day to day activities. To be broad, make his life sad because of that :P (Schadenfreude alert)

jelloween responds:

Responding to both of your reviews here:

First of all, thank you for taking the time to let me know what you think!
In this one I may have made the rhythm too subtle, I agree. It definitely doesn't hit as hard as The Artist one. What I was going for was the feeling of wanting to resort to violence or overreaction, and that being ultimately useless. He can't move forward by giving in to his anger and that just makes him feel worse. With the name I was going for multiple meanings, he's at the water tap, then of course he hits his head etc. It's too subtle though.

I don't know if I'll continue this specific guy, but yes I wanna make more cartoons about minor annoyances. They make me laugh and they're fun to make. I have two more made right now that I couldn't upload because you can only upload two a day. They're a little different. I'm excited to see what you think about them.

Thanks again for the reviews.

Dear jelloween

You convinced me enough to give this a review and damn...This was surprisingly hilarious.
It wasn't booming impactful but it had me in fumbles. Just the way the Artist struggles with each minor hindrance and as he nonchalantly deep sighs everytime hits the center of my laugh box pretty hard. I thought it was suppose to be melancholic, dreary and has underlying serious tones in it about an artists struggles but this....This genuinely surprised me hilariously and that is all I can say frankly. Well done! You earned my 5 stars

dear RockOnAnimations

Well done on the animation, Was this your first? Anywho if you say you're pretty young for an animator, then that's great. Follow your passion and all that. But anyways back to the video. It was well...Cliche' already to be honest, I apologize though but I'd already expected this to happen due to the fact of the popularity of Undertale and its endings. So the comedy wasn't all that oustanding but judging from your animation skills...It looks good for a young animator. May I humbly ask how old are you? If this was your first then you did a good job at it. But if it wasn't, Then try to improve a bit.

RockOnAnimations responds:

Well, I'm 14. I got into art some time ago, then I found some animation software and I started to animate with that. It's actually made for stick animations, this was kinda just an experimental video to see how this would go. Obviously, I can see why it was made for stick animations. :) My stick animations are in my opinion a bit better than this.i am just starting out, and I appreciate your feedback. :)

dear TheJanitor9K, UrbanTowel,Shulp, Lajbros and co.

Well that was...Weird. Frankly there were some funny scenes in here but there were some that are just outright strange. If you're going for strange humor then this one takes the cake. But if you're going for overexaggeration humor then that would've made it a much better comedy skit. Something on the borderlines of MobileSpider's skit and Shulp's. They were good but the rest were (not entirely bad but) confusing. (I'm not naive its just that the jokes were kind of insipid and it went over my head) But anyways nonetheless you worked pretty hard at this I say. Lots of people collaborated and it went well enough. The humor though is just lacking something impactful. But that's just my opinion. Anyways cheers and nice work!

If you're going for a strange music video...Then you've did it almost perfectly. This is what I would expect out of one too. The music itself was really good I like it especially space! I love space! The plot was really hard to decode but I think I get it. It's like the dog has a mission to find its own habitable planet but during the flight the dog turned into a sentient being and found one place he can call home...Pretty cool. Now whenever I hear this music again, I would probably conceive this exact video in mind. Thanks for the nightmares :P

Thanks very much!
You decoded the plot precisely :)

P.S. You are welcome for the nightmares :)

Wow you guys again! You've been posting lots of films here and there and I thought this was just another , (Pardon me) mediocre film but as you mentioned in your author's comments. This was an animation smorgasbord made Implemented with various mediums. Well done. Everything was well executed and well made. From the graphics, the drawings, the special effects, the story, the sounds and music and even the voices all were intriguing enough to engross my attention till the end. Kudos! JamesBradfordHuston responds:

Hello Etriuswimbleton, and thanks for watching and writing such a detailed response.

Back in 2012 I made a flash announcing Hacker Mind, I was even going to make the film exclusive to Newgrounds. The film ended up being bigger than I realized and I realized I could never release it as a flash. It's out on my YouTube, deviantART, and Vimeo channels with slightly better graphics.

Once I realized Newgrounds was letting people upload VIDEOS (not just flash) I went crazy and uploaded the best stuff I made... since then I've gone back and deleted live-action and/or Newgrounds type stuff :P

p.s. nice job w/ your youtube channel.

dear Funnydanger

Ha! Its just like an animated flick of HowToBasic's cooking endeavors. But only streamlined to a limit. Nice work even for your first animation you did a good job at it. Hmmm if this is your first animation. This was a great start at it. You can also start some kind of series with this. Making comedic skits with "___ for the first time" in the title. And make them all end up similar to this with the guy at the end saying "Where did it go wrong?". That would seriously make a name for yourself here and on other websites too. I would suggest more ideas but I would leave the rest up to you. Kudos and cheers!
