Dear GerardVega

At first I expected a 3D fps sort of game considering its made with Unity, but now I was met with loads of bugs that you need to fix plus the rest of the game that you need to improve on. I'll give you a list of whatever irks me in this game:

-enemies dont attack
-I cant attack, making the skills utilizing space, C & F are useless
-the enemies look like their moving pictures. They don't even look intrinsic enough in coherence with the character design of the protagonist.
-the movement controls are useless due to the fact it concurrently moves the browser window even when the mouse is already focused on the game screen.

Next time, please upload an acceptable working game before fishing for feedback if so. Anyways despite that, the game seems interesting. Its like a 2.5D action RPG. I'd like to see what it would entail in the future and how relevant is a "Symbiote" in all of this.

Hoping to also see a story in this too.

No, thank you on your opinion. This game is in early alpha and needs to a point of view other than the development team. We see what you meant and will be adding more details into the game.

Okay just let me get this out of my system first. "OHHHH." Okay whew. The way he sounds when he gets hit is really...Ugh...But anyways why am I baffled to the sound of a measly blue santa like character? Its because he was continually getting beat up by the candy cane obstacles as I've come across a bug where I CANT DIE. Seems like you have to do a little bit of Optimizations and fixes. The game seems to have its fair share of different minigames to choose from well done. But still there are problems that you should fix.

Dear Etriuswimbleton

Thank you for your very poetic review.
And yes I am working on more fixes right now, (When I fix one bug another one just pops up....)
but I'm trying to fix em. And your right about that oah sound he makes. Their should be a way to turn it off.

From Mr.Blocky Blue to you, (Aka: A measly blue Santa like Character) Thank you :)

dear jasnagrgurevic

Hopefully I'm speaking for most of these people that you're reaching out to a very minor audience here pal. Well I for one can enjoy playing this...But its too simple though. A simple but common educational math game. I'd suggest for you to delve on this a little bit more. Instead of the simple algebraic expressions and algorithms try to implement them into an innovative idea with math involved...And I mean that for ingame not in the programming.

Thank you very much for your opinion, it matters to me and my team a lot. We will try maybe to make the game more complex in the future.
fyi, please don't call me "pal", jasna is a girls name, I am a girl. :)

dear MessireToaster

Would you mind if I point out some problems that might seem a bit too nitpicky? Well okay here goes. I would suggest having Rainbow Dash to start on the left hand side? Or just let the player choose either side. Also I'd prefer the WASD over the arrows keys but try to add them too as an option too. Okay back to the game. Well music seems fitting enough no doubt about that. The background is well fine but I'd suggest adding dynamic backgrounds where it can confuse the player at times as it turns from dark, to stormy, to clear, to snowy, to...you get the point. Anyways game and character is really relative to its gameplay actually. All you do is just dash around and pop clouds for points. Simple enough. Speaking of clouds, they should pop a little bit faster as to know when you actually popped them. I only relied on the sound and the score to know if I did go through them. Kudos for making a game. Anyways if its a mini-game try to use this to your advantage. I would suggest adding a "STORY MODE" about dash and his/her job into popping clouds and stuff.

Hello etriuswimbleton !
To be honest this game was initially a test to improve my programming skillz, and when I finished it I thought it would be cool to upload it to newgrounds. When I created it I didn't even realized that 99% of games with horizontal scrolling started from the other side ( ._.)
It's just a small thing tho, like the WASD it's done in five minutes :-)
For the background and the "story mode" I agree these are good ideas, I might try to do something but knowing my graphic skills it will be a tough task.

Thanks for your review anyway, I'll work at it !

Dear headbang33

Love the concept and ideas and all, but the execution is well not really that great. The input and sync of the controls is a bit off. Also the difficulty of the levels is really a nightmare. It looks almost impossible to perfect every note as well as being able to kill the zombies. Also speaking about killing zombies its hard to keep track and multitask. (I was only focused on meticulously keeping the beat ignoring the zombies) I mean It would be more beneficial if the drumming visualizer thing should be on the vertical side of the screen rather than below. As it is easier to see which gun to shoot at to keep the zombies at bay and be able to manage the timing of the bass. Anyways well done with the game. I just love rhythm games so if you could fix these and add a little bit more balance into it. Then your golden! cheers!

Thanks for the feedback. For better experience the downloadable .exe is better on gamejolt/itch, the web version suffers from embedding.

You are stil very right, the game is hard and very cognitively demanding. So thank you for the clever feedbacks and hope we'll make it way better for next installment.

Dear Emartransformo

This could just be a little fun side project in programming but releasing it here like this in all its glory? It just doesn't fit in the newgrounds portal. I apologize but no. This is just a simple idle game without the fun and addicting side of it. No rewards to sniff, nothing really stands out here.

Dear Brujahah

Hello...Again? It seems that your name has changed If I can recall correctly. Anyways lets delve into the game shall we? Okay the noticeable changes here I see are the balls. They can now be hit once, also there is some use for the blocks on each side, also you greyed out the free access to the levels but when I was able to finish level 1. I cant click the next level. Please fix. Minor things I should point out is that the options should have more options like SFX,credits,(cheats if necessary) also the EXIT button has no use.

Music is creepy and gives the game a creepy atmospheric vibe but the game itself doesn't hold up for it. It looks pretty bland and simple. I'd suggest adding some more "creepy factor" into the game. If you can manage to add animations to it, Please do. It sorely needs it. Anyways Cheers. It seems you have fixed a few issues but the game is still barebones at best.

Brujahah responds:

I accidentally published the wrong version when I first submitted it, so I had to go back and re-publish the game. The level thing should be fixed now. And yeah, overall, I do still have some more things to change in it. I planned a bit more creepy things to go into it, perhaps the ball changing from a normal face into a more strange one with each level.

The exit buttons are essentially for a portable windows version.
Also I'm not quite familiar with the general way Newgrounds works, and I like your input. Should I be constantly updating the same single project, or get rid of the old versions and replace them with new ones?

dear rcmatomsk

nice name it rhymes. Anyways game seems playable good job on that. But there are a lot of flaws here that I should point out in a list as to organize the ideas and also leave some suggestions in:

-The SFX is too amplified. It makes shooting annoying. Especially with a game where you need to shoot.
-Could you at least give us like a short popup at first to teach us the controls cause I was stuck trying to find which button shoots and which button moves either though it uses gamers intuition to find out try to at least specify where it is.
-Some powerups work, others dont. Or maybe I need to use a button which I cant utilize, even the instructions at the menu are hard to understand cause its not in english.
-PLEASE translate the game first before uploading it here. I'd surmise most of the players here like me prefer English as the standard language in every submission. (It depends though)
-There are little to no enemy variety except a bomb and an enemy starship.
-Its just endless shooting in an endless space background without any changes. As I mentioned before with variety. Add more like different enemies, different backgrounds, more stages, an upgrade section would be nice, and more working powerups.

Anyways nice job with the game and all. It just lacks alot of things that hold it back. It feels also unfinished when playing it. So please fix. Cheers!

thanks for commenting :)
-it is the first game I ever made, this was actually an exam of my university
-actually after you reach 1000 points you get to the second stage
-I uploaded here more to be able to show some people how the development of the game was going
-sorry about the translations, it really slipped my mind.
-the commands are on the "instrucoes" tab, or when you pause the game (enter), it might be in portugese, srry. But you can at least learn what keys to press.

thanks again for your comments and tips, I also noticed the sfx too amplified but I just didn't have enough time to find the sfx and to edit it properly.

Dear Gathorisx

Sorry but no. This is simply just...well, a soundboard but it lacks the "Game" in it. I would recommend posting this instead to mOE's fanpage/website or streams or whatever. Just not in here. I would'nt even accept this if it even was a PewDiePie Soundboard.
(considering he's the most popular youtuber)
There is no context or "fun" in here as to what a game is to be made. Also this is just outright insipid. It lacks a real "game". What you did here is just rip off audio samples
(even with permissions) For me, personally. I believe soundboards are not acceptable here I apologize.

Dear sweatytian

May I ask first...Are you the owner of this content? Anyways lets get down to the game. First of all I have to indicate something really bothersome that detracts me from enjoying the full challenge of the game. Its the controls. Who thought of the idea of using the click and drag as the main function of a bullet hell dodging game? Mostly everybody would prefer the WASD or just the "Player model follows mouse" mechanic. Anyways despite the bad choice of the main function of controls, the game is pretty cool to be honest. I was able to manage to dodge for a few seconds. It was challenging, it was difficult, it was fun, and the visuals were not at all bothersome and too bright, making it easier to dodge in, Also speaking of making things easier, I like the fact that you (hopefully you) added the feature where it shows where the bullets or lasers will be shot beforehand, nice touch. However I have that sort of feeling that this is just a PC port from an original mobile game isit? As I already see the blatant ads implying that it was from the app/play store. Also nice touch with the shop feature. Helps kill some more time.

Problems you should fix though is the controls, the screen focus (because when I click outside of the game. I cant click inside anymore and I have to refresh the game again) And also hide the fact that it is also available in the app/play store? It might get you some flak but that really didn't bother me though. But I was curious.

UPDATE: I just noticed this was already a mobile game so I'll give you one star...Hell I enjoyed it though nonetheless but still why port it to PC? Would give an unfair advantage to Mobile players if it was locked behind a paywall beforehand.

Hi Etriuswimbleton

Thanks for your review and feedback. Good suggestion with the controls; we will make it so the player follows the mouse.

Yeah this was a port from the mobile version, but we will make this as smooth as possible. We will also get rid of the mobile icons at the bottom.

Thank you for your long and well thought out review. We really appreciate it:)
